What’s with the Turtle?
Actually, the graphic in my header is meant to be a tortoise, hence the tagline, “Because the way of the tortoise is the only way to build a website…” If you came here from SiteSell’s SBI pages or you’re already an SBI user, then you probably know all about the tortoise.
But if you’re not familiar with SBI, then let me explain…
Ken Evoy, the brain behind SiteBuildIt (SBI), developed the tortoise concept as a metaphor for how SBI helps its users develop successful websites… you know, the “Slow & Steady Wins the Race” concept… tortoise vs. the hare… all that? (Or the Get Rick Quick (GRQ) hare, as Ken puts it!)
Have you failed at building success on the Web? (like most of us have, at one time or another) This eye-opening report from Ken Evoy may give you some insights: http://www.sitesell.com/why-people-fail.pdf
But, here’s what Ken says about the tortoise concept:
“A key “tortoise success factor”… persistence. The process can be summarized…
Try. Make mistake. Fail. Learn.
Try better. Make mistake. Fail. Learn.
Try better still. Make mistake. Fail. Learn.
Repeat until…
Try. Succeed.
THAT is persistence, in a tortoise shell.
The “siren song of GRQ” tempts us over and over. Patience and faith, two solid, non-flashy success traits, build and maintain persistence, keeping us on the firm path to slow-steady-sure success.”
I have lived the process… both the hare and the tortoise… and I’m here to tell you, the way of the tortoise is far superior, that is, if your goal is to actually succeed and make money!
